Blair Caple, Chief Executive
Blair Caple has nearly twenty years experience developing and implementing strategic and operational plans for domestic and international companies and is President of Kaaterskil Management, a turnaround and restructuring consulting company. His industry experience includes Business Services, Financial Services and Financial Advisory, Travel and Hospitality, Professional Sports and Entertainment, Distribution, Retail, Government and Nonprofit, Higher Education, Research and Process, and Real Estate and Construction. He was recently profiled in CFO Magazine.
Mr. Caple holds a bachelor's degree from Tufts University and is a registered architect.
Thomas J. Kozlowski, Jr., Chairman
Thomas J. Kozlowski, Jr. is the President of AFIOS, Inc., an independent private wealth management advisory firm which he founded in 2005. Prior to that, Tom was the founder and senior relationship manager of the Family Office Group of Merrill Lynch, a multi-disciplined team of professionals servicing the financial and administrative concerns of families of substance.
Mr. Kozlowski has an undergraduate degree in Accounting (with a minor in Economics) and a JD from Georgetown University and an MBA in Finance and Investments from George Washington University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Management Accountant and a member of the Bars of both Virginia and the District of Columbia.
Heidi Nicholas
Heidi Nicholas is currently involved in developing and managing commercial real estate projects in the central Pennsylvania area. From 1998 to 2001, Ms. Nicholas served as Chief Financial Officer for TeleBeam, Inc., which was sold to Conestoga Enterprises, Inc. (CEI) in January 2000. Subsequent to the sale of TeleBeam, Inc., she was also named Vice President of Corporate Development and Investor Relations for CEI.
Previously Ms. Nicholas served as Corporate Strategy and Development Vice President for Pacific Telesis Group in San Francisco, California from March 1996 to November 1997. In that capacity, Ms. Nicholas was responsible for the formation of joint ventures and merger and acquisition activities for Pacific Telesis Group until the time of its sale to SBC Communications. Prior to March 1996, Ms. Nicholas held the position at Pacific Telesis Group of Executive Director of Corporate Development from July 1994 to March 1996.
Prior to joining Pacific Telesis, Ms. Nicholas held positions in investment banking and financial analysis in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Los Angeles, California for ten years. Ms. Nicholas holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from UCLA and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Cornell Graduate School of Management.
D. Brent Pasquinelli, President Corsortia Group
Brent Pasquinelli is the Founder, and Consortia President. He was formerly the President of Airlandsea Travel, D.B.A. Omega World Travel, a travel agency he founded in 1977. He has been a Vice President of Omega World Travel for the parts of Airlandsea Travel that operated offices under the Omega name in Pennsylvania and Ohio (total gross sales in excess of $24 million). These offices of Omega World Travel served Penn State and Ohio State Universities as well as local corporate and leisure travelers.
Mr. Pasquinelli was also an integral contributor to the early stage development and growth of Cruise.com and has served on numerous community business and charitable boards.
Robert E. Poole
Bob Poole is currently Chairman, CEO and President of S&A Homes, Inc. and Poole Anderson Construction. S & A Homes and its affiliated companies generate revenues in excess of $150 million annually, building more than 500 residential units plus various commercial buildings each year. S & A operates in three states and is one of the top 300 home builders in the country. Mr. Poole serves on the boards of Waypoint Bank, Inc. and CoachPaterno.com-Coach Illustrated, the American Red Cross, Chamber of Business and Industry of Centre County and also serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Second Mile.
Mr. Poole holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA in accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Mary C. Vovakes
Ms. Vovakes' responsibilities at Penn Venture Partners involve managing a $6 million operational grant program that covers a 34 county area in Central and Northern Pennsylvania. She oversees a portfolio of operational improvement projects in the software, manufacturing, automotive, and publishing industries. She is an operations improvement professional with 17 years experience in consulting and financial services. Prior to joining Penn Venture Partners, she was a Manager at Keane Consulting Group (KCG), a Chicago based operations consulting firm. While there, Ms. Vovakes' clientele included Fortune 1000 companies and her work focused on improving business processes through technology solutions and strategies across a wide range of industries. Her experience includes, project management, facilitation, implementation planning, information technology assessment, and staff training and development.
Ms. Vovakes began her professional career in the financial services industry first at PaineWebber, Inc. (now UBS) and later at Credit Suisse First Boston working with high net worth individuals. She received her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Loyola University in Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Albion College.
